How to Prevent FRP Lock — Best Practices
Prevention is better than cure. Follow these simple steps to avoid getting locked out of your Android device by FRP.
Remove Google Account Before Reset
Always go to Settings → Accounts → Google and remove your account BEFORE doing a factory reset. This disables FRP on the device.
Write Down Your Credentials
Keep a record of your Google account email and password in a safe place. FRP cannot be bypassed without them (or a tool like FRP CoreX).
Update Recovery Info
Make sure your Google account has a backup phone number and recovery email set. This helps if you forget your password.
For Repair Shops
If you are servicing a device, ask the owner to remove their Google account before you perform any factory reset. This protects both parties.
Buying Second-Hand Devices
Before purchasing a used Android device, ask the seller to perform a factory reset in your presence after logging out of their Google account.
